NAvion N8578H 'Hall of Shame' Continues...
Picture if you will.... You've already filed the 337 for installing the new-fangled Distance Measuring instrument, and you're about to be the first kid on your block with a real-live DME. You really don't have any available panel space, so you decide to hang the tray right under the co-pilots controls. You secure the front of the tray with machine screws and self-locking nuts, and then you realize that they by themselves won't quite support the weight of the unit. You look up under the panel and there is absolutely nothing that works as a support... What do you do? Why, you run out to the pasture and grab a piece of bailing wire off of your horses food and tie the back of the tray up, then secure it to the main vacuum hose, of course!!!
